RESIDENTS on a Bromsgrove estate are gearing up for their Christmas carol concert held on Sunday December 21.

People on the Oakalls and Parklands estates will meet just before 6.30pm on the green by Trianon Road.

From there, the Primrose Hospice Choir will lead a traditional carol concert which will include a number of festive favourites.

The event has been organised by Bromsgrove District Councillors, Caroline Spencer and Rod Laight.

Cllr Spencer said: “The planning of the event takes time and commitment but is well worthwhile and an increasing number of residents attend each year.

“Having listened to feedback from residents in previous years we have made a few changes to the staging area and hope Sunday’s event will be the best ever yet.”

At around 7pm, Santa will be making a special guest appearance thanks to the Bromsgrove Round Table.

After the service, refreshments will be available, including mulled Tardebigge cider, soft drinks, candy floss, sweets and mince pies.

The Christmas carol service was first launched in 2011, to provide an opportunity to bring the Oakalls community together.
