STAFF at a Bromsgrove-based advertising agency, Superdream, took part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day campaign.

The charity aims to make a difference to children's lives by asking people to wear a festive jumper and donate to the cause.

At the agency, designer Tom Mason attempted to set a new world record for the most Christmas jumpers worn at once whilst at the same time raising money for the charity.

After pulling on 32 jumpers, Tom, finally gave in but he hopes that this will be enough to set a new world record.

Tom said: “Naively, I didn’t think putting a lot of clothes on would be that difficult, but at about the half way mark I wondered how many more layers I could take.

“I’m glad I was able to do it, but I’m hoping no one has bought me a Christmas jumper this year.”

Doug Laird, creative director was at Superdream was on hand to adjudicate, he said: “Tom did an incredible job and didn’t complain once. He was the perfect candidate for this challenge being so slim, but by the end we’d transformed him into more of a Christmas pudding.

“We videoed the record breaking attempt and we’re waiting to hear back from Guinness to see if Tom will make it into the record books.”

Staff at the agency supported Tom in his festive challenge by wearing their own winter woollies and donating £2 to Save the Children.
