A BROMSGROVE-based fostering agency has launched a new campaign to find regional champions.

Foster Care Associates, (FCA), has more 2,000 carers whose actions have helped transform the lives of more than 30,000 foster children and young people over the last 21 years.

FCA want to hear about unsung community heroes with stories not necessarily related to foster care, but who have made a difference to the lives of others.

The search, entitled Be Incredible, is designed to be for everyday people who do incredible things.

It is hoped these stories will inspire potential carers to consider a career in foster care, and make an incredible difference to someone’s life.

Shel Chawner, from FCA, said: “Everyday we hear about incredible selfless stories concerning our foster carers in the Midlands, and how this benefits the lives of those they look after, as well as their local community in many cases.

"To them it’s just ‘what they do’ and don’t consider they’re doing anything special, but to others and those they look after it can be life changing.”

The stories will feature on FCA’s website along with inspirational stories from FCA foster carers, and others involved in this selfless and rewarding life choice.

FCA want to hear incredible stories related to foster care, which will be judged by a team of fosters carers with the overall Be Incredible story winning an incredible experience day.

To submit stories email press@thefca.co.uk or follow @FCAFostering, #BeIncredible, and tell FCA in no more than 30 words or 50 characters your ‘Be Incredible’ story by February 28.
