A BROMSGROVE charity is encouraging townsfolk to wear pink clothes for a fundraiser being held in April.
The 'Wear it Pink' charity campaign has been organised by the Libby Mae’s Little Angels charity.
The charity was established by Charlotte and Richard Sharratt in memory of their daughter Libby Mae, who died when she was only two weeks old in April 2013.
Wanting to give something back to the hospital that cared for Libby Mae, the Catshill parents asked for donations and they were overwhelmed by the response.
This led to the charity being set up to raise money for neo-natal units in the West Midlands.
Last year was the first time the fundraiser had been held and it raised an incredible £5,000.
This year's fundraiser is being held on Friday, April 24, and people are being encouraged to wear pink and make a donation.
Charlotte said: "Please can you get your work colleagues and friends involved and help us beat last year’s fundraising?
"Maybe you could hold a cake sale or a raffle on the day too to help raise even more for our cause.
"Remember every single penny that you donate goes direct to the charity and helps us save babies lives and make neo-natal experiences a little better for parents and babies."
