STUDENTS at a school near Bromsgrove and Kidderminster enjoyed watching the solar eclipse.
Pupils and staff at Winterfold House School, in Chaddesley Corbett, watched the solar eclipse - the first for more than 10 years - on Friday morning, (March 20).
The eclipse, when the moon slowly obscured the disk of the Sun, began at 8.25am before reaching its maximum at about 9.30am and ending at 10.40am.
During this period youngsters from all years of the school assembled outside and watched the spectacular event using various safe methods including pinhole cameras, trays of water and viewing tubes made from cardboard tubes and silver foil.
Jayne Gwillam, from the school, said teachers, pupils and additional staff from the offices and kitchens enthusiastically viewed the rare astronomical event on Friday.
