CREATIVE youngsters welcomed a local artist to their Bromsgrove school.
Artist Philip Brewer moved away in 2012 from the building trade to pursue his dream of becoming a full time artist.
His paintings use a mix of acrylic and emulsion on canvas, showing figures in silhouette against different boldly coloured backgrounds, from sunsets and twilight to cloudy skies and even the ocean.
Philip recently visited year one pupils at Bromsgrove Pre-Preparatory School, in Hanbury Road, to show some of his paintings and talk about the vast range of techniques he uses to create his work.
Sara Bussey, from the school, said: "The children asked him many questions about his technique and they particularly loved the silhouette of the lions and vibrant background colours.
"The youngsters were inspired to create their own dinosaur silhouette paintings as part of their new topic."
Philip's latest exhibition is currently on display at Plaza Coffee, in Chapel Street, off High Street.
The exhibition is running until May 8, and all paintings on display are on sale.
