POLICE are being encouraged to be vigilant following a spate of jewellery thefts in Bromsgrove and Redditch.
Recently, three burglaries have taken place in which Asian families have been targeted and family gold has been stolen.
On Friday, April 10, gold was stolen from an elderly woman during a robbery at a house in Lydiate Ash, Bromsgrove, and two further burglaries took place on Friday, April 17, when offenders forced entry to homes on Steel Close in Bromsgrove and Foxlydiate Crescent in Redditch.
Police are urging people to ensure their valuable jewellery is stored securely and to carry out measures to protect their homes from thieves.
Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call police on 101.
