REDDITCH and Bromsgrove residents are invited to attend the next NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) governing body meeting.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 28, starting at 1pm, and will be held in Bromsgrove Council Chamber, Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove B60 1AA.

Questions are welcomed from members of the public throughout the meeting so there is no need to submit questions in advance.

The agenda and meeting papers will be available on the NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove CCG website.

This will be the first meeting for Dr Marion Radcliffe, who was elected onto the governing body replacing Dr David Law, effective from May 1.

Dr Radcliffe trained as a GP in Northumbria. Her first practice was in the East End of London, before taking up her role as GP principle and partner at Davenal House Surgery, Bromsgrove, where she has been for 24 years.

She is the clinical lead for urgent care at the CCG and has worked on developing projects in the local area such as the virtual ward and the clinical navigation unit at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.

Her work at the CCG has also seen her chairing the NHS 111 implementation group and setting up the GP with ambulance scheme amongst others.

Dr Radcliffe said: “I’m really pleased to have been elected onto the governing body and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into my first meeting on May 28.

“I decided to run for a seat so that I could be a member of the decision making body as we press on with our commissioning agenda.

“I’m impressed with the vision of this group and the commitment to improve local health care for local people by responsible and enlightened commissioning.”
