POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision at a Bromsgrove junction.

The incident happened on the A448, Kidderminster Road on Saturday, (May 23), at around 5.10pm, involving a blue Ford Focus and a Suzuki motorbike.

The two vehicles collided at the junction of Perryfields Road and Whitford Road. The driver of the Ford Focus, a 33-year-old man, was not injured.

However, the motorbike rider, a 30-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening and he remains in a stable condition.

The motorbike was travelling from the direction of Bromsgrove towards Kidderminster and police are eager to hear from a vehicle which was travelling in front of it prior to the collision. The occupants of this vehicle may have vital information to assist police with their inquiries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it.
