RUBERY youngsters had a fun day out recently with a trip to Dudley Zoo and Castle.

The children from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School, took part in a trip to visit the zoo with their parents as part of an organised Pirate and Princess Day.

The trip came at the end of a week where the youngsters had been learning all about wild animals, their habitats and their way of life, making their own animal homes and learning some new animal themed songs and rhymes as well as reading children’s books ‘Jumble in the Jungle’, ‘Polar Bear Polar Bear’ and ‘Dear Zoo’.

As part of their trip they got to see monkeys, giraffes, meerkats, snow leopards, crocodiles, sea lions and flamingos, as well as being able to join in with circus activities, and have their photographs taken with Olaf and Elsa from Frozen, the Minions, and Peppa Pig.

Jacqueline Walker from Jellybabies, said: “This was a wonderful day enjoyed by all.”
