HAGLEY youngsters are set to enjoy a new play area featuring adventurous equipment to enjoy.
The new play area on Hagley playing fields off Worcester Road, which opened on Monday, (July 28), features a double 30 mile zip wire and tripod tyre swing.
It has been funded by Bromsgrove District Council, using £80,000 money from playing developments. This was topped up with funding of just under £5,000 from Hagley Parish Council.
As well as the new equipment a new concrete skate park has also been installed at the facility, as part of the scheme that was created with the help of local pupils, parents and councillors.
Councillor Rod Laight, whose portfolio covers leisure, said: “We are very proud of our play areas in Bromsgrove and this latest improvement is a brilliant start to the summer holidays.
"I am sure this exciting equipment will be enjoyed by everyone from across the district.”
