A GARDEN party at a Bromsgrove care home has helped to raise a significant amount of money for charity.

Burcot Grange Residential Home hosted its annual summer party on August 15.

Staff, residents and visitors enjoyed the atmosphere and the activities including archery, plant stalls, musical entertainment and vintage classic cars including a Lotus Sunbeam, Ferrari 328 GTB and MG Midget Mark 3.

There was also a pig roast, a guess the weight of the cake challenge, and a selection of handmade cakes and sweets.

Overall the event raised £1,115, which is being donated to the Alzheimer’s Society - a leading charity supporting and offering research for people with dementia.
