FRIENDS and regulars at a Bromsgrove pub helped raise more than £1,100 for The Primrose Hospice.
Following the death of his wife Pat, Kevin Godfrey organised a gala dinner at The New Inn Bournheath, her favourite pub, to thank the charity for its help and support during her illness.
Mr Godfrey originally aimed to raise £1,000 but he smashed the target raising £1,111 instead.
He recently presented the cash to the hospice in memory of Pat.
Mr Godfrey thanked all those who took part and ensured that the hospice benefited from his efforts.
Prizes were supplied by friends, pub regulars and local businesses including supermarkets Morrisons and Tesco.
