POLICE are on the hunt for a thief who raided a Wythall home in the early hours of this morning, before running off with the homeowner's payment cards, personal documents and cash.

The break-in took place at around 3am on the morning of Friday, May 6.

The victim, who lives in a remote area of Wythall, was woken up by two loud bangs on their front door.

When she looked out of the window, she saw somebody running away through the garden gate wearing dark clothing with the hood worn up.

Police officers responded quickly and upon arrival, saw that the thief had forced their way through the front door of the house.

An amount of cash, both in Sterling and US Dollars was taken, along with a number of personal documents and payment cards.

West Mercia Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the burglary, or who saw someone behaving suspiciously in the Wythall area at the time.
