POLICE are on the hunt for a man who burgled Wythall Animal Sanctuary on Middle Lane at the weekend.

Between 6.02pm and 6.08pm on Sunday, May 15, a man entered the compound near to Kings Norton and stole a large amount of animal food and toys, which had been donated by the public, from a storage container.

The stolen goods were then loaded into a red Volkswagen Up. The registration plate is believed to be DX13 LNM.

The burglar then drove off in the vehicle and turned left onto Middle Lane.

He is described as a white man of slim build, between 30 to 40 years of age.

The man is said to have dark hair, with the back and sides shaved, and was thought to be wearing blue jeans, a black hooded jacket and black trainers.

Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who may have saw the break-in, or any suspicious behaviour in the area beforehand.
