OVER half term, Little Heath Garden Centre in Bromsgrove is organising a free children’s trail as part of National Children’s Gardening Week.
Throughout the week, children will be able to hunt for 10 pictures of plants around the garden centre, and take a look at several posters packed with ideas on how to grow their own gardens.
Anyone who manages to complete the entire trail will then be able to hand in a completed entry form to receive a free packet of seeds for them to take home.
Garden centre manager, Pete Brooks, said: “Inspiring children to enjoy plants and gardening at an early age has many benefits that can last a lifetime. It’s a fun, healthy hobby that promotes responsibility as children learn to look after their very own plants, develop a love of nature and an understanding of where fresh food comes from and how it can be used to create yummy meals.”
