MEMBERS of the Bromsgrove branch of Rock Choir, and their families, have taken part in a fun music quiz to help raise money for a music therapy charity.

The quiz was organised by choir leader Christa Hugo, and saw members of the Rock Choir go head to head against one another at the Court Leet pub in Bromsgrove, answering questions in rounds including 'guess the album cover' and 'spot the intro', as well as taking part in a raffle and a cake sale.

Quiz participants managed to raise an impressive £857 for Nordoff Robbins, which works with people of all ages across the UK to help with physical and emotional wellbeing, and to develop key communication skills.

Christa said: "I'm bowled over by how generous everyone has been. As a Rock Choir leader, I know all too well what a difference music can make to people's lives so I am delighted that we have raised so much for Nordoff Robbins who do such amazing work in music therapy across the UK. I wish to thank everybody who donated, and also I'd like to thank the Court Leet for letting us use their function room for free, meaning that every penny raised goes straight to the charity."

Bromsgrove Rock Choir performs regularly at local events including the Bromsgrove Festival and the Christmas Lights Switch-On, as well as a number of larger events at venues including Wembley Stadium and Birmingham's Symphony Hall.
