TWO people were hospitalised with smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a ground floor flat in Willow Road, Bromsgrove.
An automated fire alarm alerted Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service at 10.23pm on Tuesday, June 21.
Two fire engines from Bromsgrove were already on the way when emergency services received a call to confirm the building was on fire.
The blaze had started in the kitchen and was contained to the one room by firefighters upon arrival.
A hose reel jet and breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire.
Two people were checked over at the scene and found to be suffering from smoke inhalation.
They were taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
