STAFF from Ballard Dale Syree Watson Chartered Accountants took on a gruelling challenge of cycling 230 miles from Le Harve to St Marlow in France to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK.

The trio, Paul Gee, from Bromsgrove, aged 48, Jay Gibson, 35 from Bidford and Peter Herniman, 51 raised over £1000 through sponsorship for the charity which helps those suffering with the disease.

It is the sixth charity challenge that the group have completed having previously ridden from Belgium to Holland in aid of Cancer Research in 2015.

Senior manager Mr Gibson said: "It was tough but the scenery was fantastic and the French pub stops helped too."

Managing partner Bill Ballard added: "The team always put a great deal of time into planning the challenges and so I was confident everything would run smoothly. We were delighted to sponsor such a worthy cause and look forward to the team’s next challenge."

Presently, there is no cure for Parkinson’s disease, which affects about 127,000 people in the UK.
