A MISCHIEVOUS pooch from Hollywood has gained celebrity status after being rescued from a roof.
Welsh Springer Spaniel Millie managed to climb out of a skylight when her dog-sitter had briefly popped out.
The mutt spent two hours trapped in extremely hot conditions as firefighters from Redditch and Bewdley, and staff from Wythall Animal Sanctuary, worked to save her.
Her owners were on holiday at the time of the incident.
Alison Moore, from Wythall Animal Sanctuary said: "We arrived just after the fire crew.
"Millie was getting very tired so fire man held her to stop her falling and I leant out the window with a dog catch pole, between us we got it on her and I secured it and pulled her in - good team work."
She added that firefighters had took Wythall Animal Sanctuary's details in case they need help with animal rescues in the future.
Since the incident, she has been famed in national newspapers, including the BBC and The Sun.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Sycamore Drive, just before 11am on Wednesday, August 17.
