GRAB your sunblock and flip flops - Bromsgrove is all set for sunshine tomorrow with temperatures reaching almost 30C.

The day may start out cloudy and dry with temperatures in the late teens but in the afternoon it will creep over 25C.

And by 4pm it is expected to peak at 27C and remain above 20C throughout the evening.

According to local netweather.tv, who take into consideration wind and humidity to predict what it will feel like, the temperature could feel around 32C.

And on Thursday it will feel warmer still, the weather forecast predicts it will feel as high as 35.5C which may also bring along thunderstorms.

Tomorrow, Bromsgrove will have warmer weather than Los Angeles which will be 26C while holiday islands Gran Canaria and the Seychelles are both set to be grey and cloudy, also both reaching 26C.

However, people looking to cool off have been reminded by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service not to take risks by swimming in open water.

Station commander Alan Haley said "With the summer holidays in full swing now and this spell of warm weather set to continue we are keen to highlight water safety awareness to children, their parents and as wide a cross-section of the local community as possible.

"People do not understand that even the strongest swimmers can find themselves in difficulty, as the cold water causes muscles to cramp.

"We would like to encourage people to take extra care."

The rest of the week will remain fine with some warm and dry weather on Wednesday but the warmer weather on Thursday will see some thundery rain developing.

On Friday it will be fine but will be less warm.
