A NEW changing room pavilion is set to open at Barnsley Hall Playing Fields in Bromsgrove next week.

The pavilion, which cost £310,000 to develop, will comprise two team changing rooms, two officials' rooms, spectator toilets, kitchen facilities, plant storage and a car park.

It is set to open at 10am on Saturday, September 3, following a £48,000 grant from the Premier League and the FA Facilities Fund.

Cllr Peter Whittaker, whose portfolio covers leisure, said: “I welcome the opportunity for this council to support sports at grass roots level and I am delighted with the improvements at the site which the officers have worked hard to complete.

“I hope the new grounds are a score with the teams to."
