KIND-hearted staff from a Barnt Green care home have raised £300 to help people living with dementia.

Redwood House Residential Home entered a small team into the five kilometre Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk, held in Birmingham, to fund vital research to find a cure for the disease.

Tracy O'Sullivan, care home manager, said: "Dementia is a subject very close to our hearts as many of our residents at Redwood House suffer with the disease.

“Our carers give amazing support to those residents every day and understand what is required to help make their lives as comfortable as possible.

“Taking part in the charity walk was therefore any easy decision to make as we were determined to do our bit and make a contribution.

“We had some great fun supporting the charity but there were lots of sore feet by the end of the day.”
