A BOOZY burglar stole five bottles of alcohol from a resident's bar before raiding their car and leaving.

The crook broke into the Barnt Green Road property in Cofton Hackett between 10pm on Thursday, July 13 and 9.30am on Friday, July 14.

They smashed a small hole in the ground floor window, reached through and unlocked it before climbing inside.

A picture frame and tall vase from the windowsill were found outside the property.

Alongside these were a pair of clippers and a small rake, which the criminal is believed to have brought with them.

Once inside, the burglar carried out a tidy search of the downstairs rooms before taking a set of car keys and front door keys from the victim's bag.

Also stolen were three bottles of whiskey, a bottle of brandy and a bottle of Martini from behind the bar area.

They left through the same window and raided the car before leaving it on the drive and fleeing the scene.

Police are keen to speak to anyone with information on the burglary. Witnesses are urged to call 101, quoting incident number 286s.
