MORE exercise classes will be made available in areas of Bromsgrove from September, including pilates and 'legs, bums and tums' (LBT) work-outs.

Alvechurch Baptist Church will host pilates sessions, costing £3.15, on Thursdays from 12pm to 1pm starting from September 7, designed to build core strength and improve general fitness.

The exercises have also been tailored to improve lower back and stomach muscle pains, common after childbirth.

An LBT group will be held at Friends Meeting House in Sandhills Road, Barnt Green, also on Thursdays, from 9.15am to 10am.

The work-out classes, which launch on September 14, are designed to tone, firm and burn fat in the stomach, hips, thighs and bottom area. Attendance costs £3 per session.

Hayley Gwilliam, health intervention officer for Bromsgrove District Council, which organised the classes, said: "We are always trying to respond to feedback from residents across the district and plug any gaps in the provision of health and fitness opportunities, so we’re pleased to be able to set up these latest new sessions in the community.”

The new groups will run alongside the Active Seniors and Zumba Gold classes that already run within the towns.
