BROMSGROVE's Genealogy and Heraldry Society will be exploring the life of 'A Girl Called Jim' at this month's meeting.
Margaret Roy will be heading the event at Bromsgrove Methodist Centre on Tuesday, October 10, discussing a relative whose life spanned most of the 20th century.
Mrs Roy said: "In some ways her life was typical of her time in that the great social chages, especially those affecting women, had a influence on her life.
"It wasn't until after her death that her life history was pieced together from the vast amount of resources she left behind."
The event will start at 7.45pm, with tea and coffee available.
The group's next meeting on November 14 will be hosted by Mike Sharpe, discussing 'The Quarter Sessions'.
