A PRODUCTION of the classic fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk is being staged by a Bromsgrove theatre company ahead of Christmas.

The pantomime, by Toby Bradford and Tina Webster, is brought to life for eight shows across December by Jigsaw Players Theatre Company.

Young Jack inadvertently causes a gigantic beanstalk to grow outside his home, and the village of Greendale is under the cosh from Giant Blunderbore – how will they cope?

Director Maggie Bishton said: “This is a wonderful, traditional pantomime, suitable for the whole family for the festive season.

“A great story combined with a host of toe tapping songs.”

The role of Jack is shared by Charlie Dealaselle and Jarrad Heath and Dame Tilly Trot is played by Paul Robinson.
