THE managing director of a Bromsgrove marketing agency will promote best practice in the communications industry in her new role as Midlands city head of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).

Michelle Wright, of Gough Bailey Wright, was appointed to the position at the IPA Midlands annual dinner in Birmingham on November 7.

Her new role will involve raising awareness of professionalism and training in the advertising sector.

Michelle said: "I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to be city head and represent our region.

"After more than 30 years in the industry I’ve earned my stripes and I’m looking forward to giving something back in my new role.

"I’m very passionate about championing our industry and promoting the IPA for Birmingham and the Midlands."

Michelle has been joint owner of Gough Bailey Wright, based at St Johns House in Bromsgrove town centre, for 15 years, alongside business partner Sue Bailey.

Fellow managing director Sue said: "Being an IPA agency requires us to meet strict criteria in terms of staff training and ethical standards, something we’ve been doing consistently for over 60 years.

"Michelle will do a fantastic job promoting the IPA in the region and advocating the benefits of using an IPA agency.”
