COLLEAGUES from a Stoke Heath firm are getting ready to begin a host of fundraising activities this year, after choosing Birmingham Women's Hospital as their 2018 charity.
AFH Financial Group, which is based on Buntsford Drive, will raise money for the hospital throughout the year, to help them care for women, babies and their families across the West Midlands.
AFH charity co-ordinator Jenny Read said: “Birmingham Women's Hospital is close to many of our hearts.
“This is a fantastic local charity, and we are looking forward to working together to raise money for this wonderful cause.
“We did really well this year, raising £2040 for Cancer Research UK, and are aiming to do even better in 2018. We have some great events planned already.”
Louise McCathie, director of fundraising at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charities, said: “We’re so pleased AFH staff has chosen us as their charity of the year for 2018.
“We’ll be cheering on Jenny and all of her colleagues in their fundraising efforts and the money raised will go towards making the hospital the very best it can be for our patients.”
In previous years, AFH have raised money for Midlands Air Ambulance, Primrose Hospice and Macmillan.
