A HAIR dresser from Aston Fields has opened her own barber shop in her hometown.
After 15 years in the industry, 37-year-old Clair Gossage has launched 'Sherwood Barbers' at an old storage room in Aston Fields Industrial Estate.
"I've been trading in Aston Fields for 14 years and fancied a new challenge," Clair told the Advertiser. "There isn't a barber shop in the area and the location's perfect.
"The snow ruined our big plans for the launch on Saturday, but people were still coming in saying how nice it looked, and how there is a need for a barber shop in the area."
The Sherwood Road barbers offers walk-in appointments only, priced between £8 for OAPs to £15 for a gent's beard and hair trim.
