A TWO-year-old Lhasa apso from Bromsgrove put his best paw forward at Crufts this weekend, to take home a prestigious 'Best of Breed' award.
Joker and owner Wendy Cain, who live in Blackwell, impressed judges at Birmingham's NEC on Saturday.
Devoted owner Wendy, 60, who has been going to Crufts since 1988, said: "It’s fabulous to get this far.
“Crufts is the most important show in the calendar. People just say it’s just another show, but it isn’t.
“Its size, its standard, its quality – it’s like the Sydney Royal. It’s fantastic.
“Lhasa apsos are a little fun breed.
“They shower you with love and they are trouble-free. They are full of love, a tremendous breed.”
This year's contest was the 127th edition of the world's largest dog show, with an estimated 2,623 vying for the chance to win.
