THERE's a whole host of family events taking place at Bromsgrove's Artrix arts centre this May half-term.

The fun begins on screen, with two showings of the smash hit family film Peter Rabbit on Saturday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 30 at 11am.

The PG-rated film, which is no longer showing in multiplex cinemas, sees James Corden voice the cartoon rabbit. Tickets cost £5.

Sunday, May 27 sees another sold out Baby Rave at 2pm, after a popular Artrix Bubble Disco at 11am, featuring dancing, glow sticks and games.

The disco is aimed at children aged five to 10. Tickets cost £5 per child. Adults go free.

On Tuesday, May 29 at 1pm, Old MacDonald and The Three Little Pigs Plus will be performing classic children's tales with a twist.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

The lively family show combines the well-known story of the Three Pigs with the easy-to-learn Old McDonald children's rhyme.

Filled with props, pop-ups and audience participation, Old MacDonald and The Three Little Pigs Plus will take place outdoors on the Artrix patio area - weather dependent.

Tickets cost £6 per person or £20 for a family of four. The show is best suited for children aged four to eight.

Tiger's Features will be holding a Children's Film Making Workshop for youngsters aged 11 to 17 years old on Thursday, May 31.

Participants will learn how to plan, film and edit their own short film.

This workshop takes place from 10am to 4pm and costs £25.
