A RUBERY resident has won a media award at a prestigious Midlands awards ceremony.

Donato Esposito has scooped the first ever award for an online campaign, at the Midlands Media Awards.

The award recognises new developments in the digital arena and the use of social media tools. Donato received his award at a ceremony held in Hockley, in June.

Donato won the award for his campaign for a new facebook, a black country version. The campaign has already achieved a membership of over 30,000.

Donato said: “It was a great achievement especially as there was such stiff competition from other great projects in the Midlands area.”
