AN independent candidate standing for election in Bromsgrove has launched a new political party.

Adrian Kriss is the leader of the Bromsgrove Independent Conservative Party, which is set to contest future local, European and general elections.

Adrian says he is a life long Conservative, who would have voted for Julie Kirkbride but for the expenses scandal that tarnished the national parties.

But he says the new party will answer to the people of Bromsgrove and not Conservative Central Office, though it will support Conservative principles if they are in the local interest.

He explained the party is open mainly to Bromsgrove residents, and membership for them is free.

Adrian said: “Last week I was just another independent but now I have a whole political party behind me and an infrastructure and I really believe that, with the help and vote of every fellow citizen, I can bring real change to the area and actually have a local person representing all of us and fighting for local issues.”
