POLICE have arrested two men after carrying out raids at two addresses in a Rubery street.

Acting on information from the community, a large team of officers executed two drugs warrants at two heavily fortified premises in Tollhouse Road on January 5.

Officers seized 30 mature and 30 smaller cannabis plants, along with a variety of weapons from the first property.

Among the weapons were machetes, hatchets, hunting knives, swords and carving knives.

At the second address a small amount of cannabis was recovered.

Two men, one aged 30 and the other 33, were arrested for the cultivation of cannabis and are currently on police bail.

Inspector Karen Greasley said: “These warrants were a result of intelligence and information provided by the community, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their continued support.

“By working together we can continue to take positive action to detect and disrupt those involved in drug related crime and make our communities a safer place.”
