BROMSGROVE MP recently met with members of a voluntary organisation which goes out of its way to make sure others can get about.

Sajid Javid met with Sally Ward and Ruth Nice of Bromsgrove Rural Rides, which is run by WRVS.  This service is provided by volunteers who use their own cars to transport older residents around Bromsgrove.

Mr Javid said: "Bromsgrove Rural Rides provides a very valuable service for many older residents throughout Bromsgrove constituency.

“It offers great peace of mind to those who have difficultly getting where they need to go.  It is run very proficiently by Sally Ward and Ruth Nice and relies on volunteers to use their own cars to help others.

“I know the price of fuel can make this more challenging, so I'm pleased the Government's decisions to cut the main duty rate by 1p and introduce a fair fuel stabiliser will help Bromsgrove Rural Rides to continue providing alternative means of transportation for those who need it.”
