THE organisers of Age Concern Bromsgrove & District’s first fund-raising event, a garden party, were delighted with the number of people who turned up to support the charity.
Despite rain showers, people enjoyed wandering around a beautiful garden in Stoke Prior on Saturday, June 18, listening to live music with a host of wonderful stalls to choose from.
Savid Javid, Conservative MP, opened the garden party and Chief Officer; Alison Schofield, said: “I would like to thank Jeannie Henderson, fund-raising manager, for lending her garden and for all the hard work put in by her and a dedicated team of volunteers, without whom it would not have been possible.
“It was lovely to see so many people here enjoying a family day out, while raising much needed funds for local older people.”
