A BROMSGROVE school held a stress free day to relax students in the run up to this summer’s exams.
Following a successful health and wellbeing day in 2010 for year 11 students, South Bromsgrove High School decided to run a similar event for the benefit of the entire sixth form on the last day of this term.
On the day youngsters were taught and practiced a variety of relaxation methods.
Among them were mediation, Indian head massage, hypnotherapy, reflexology, Tai Chi, Zumba and yoga.
A number of experts on the different areas came into the school to lead the sessions, which took place yesterday, (March 29).
The school organised the day to reward pupils for their work throughout the year, and so that they could gain some first-hand experience of therapeutic relaxation methods, so they could use them to help reduce stress when the exam season arrives.
