YOUNG poets from a Bromsgrove school showed off their talent as they scooped a county poetry competition.
Youngsters from 17 schools across the county competed at the annual Worcestershire Poetry Slam at the Artrix Theatre, in School Drive on July 12.
Creative year nine students from South Bromsgrove High School participated in the competition, and wowed the judges with a word perfect performance of their poem.
The pupils came up with the poem, which viewed a person’s life metaphorically through the eyes of a sat nav, during a day of poetry in school led by poet Giovanni 'Spoz' Esposito.
The youngsters took the poetry slam trophy, and the win is the second in two years for pupils from South Bromsgrove, at the event.
