PUPILS at a Bromsgrove school have bid a fond farewell to a popular teacher who has retired.

Sidemoor First School headteacher Catherine Shearwood retired last week after spending six years in the top post at the Perryfields Road-based school.

Catherine says she wants to thank everyone for their kind cards, presents and flowers.

She said: “I am taking many happy memories of Sidemoor with me and I will miss everyone very much.

“I give my best wishes and hope the school’s children continue to do their best and have happy and successful futures.”
