BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid, joined the civic head of Bromsgrove District Council, Councillor Janice Boswell, to open the town's Olympic opening ceremony event in Sanders Park on Friday.


There was a large live screen showing the spectacular ceremony, and local music and performances by volunteers.


Mr Javid said: “I was delighted to help launch Bromgrove's live screening of the historic Olympics Ceremony. 


“The atmosphere was very warm and exciting, and it proved a wonderful way to celebrate this historic occasion.”
