Driver ends up with broken bones

OFFICERS in Bromsgrove are appealing for information following an incident involving a tractor.

The tractor was travelling towards Bromsgrove on Copyholt Lane on Monday, July 23 at about 2pm.

A car, described as a silver vehicle, possibly a Mercedes and driven by a woman, was travelling in the opposite direction.

Although the vehicles did not make contact, the tractor swerved to avoid the car coming off the road and hitting a tree.

PC Carita Caldicott from Bromsgrove police station said: "The driver of the tractor was taken to hospital following this incident, where he required surgery for broken bones in his neck.

"Because of this, we urgently need to speak to the driver of the silver car and I would ask for her to come forward.

"Although she may not realise what happened to the tractor after she drove away, she has failed to stop at the scene of an accident and we need to speak to her in order to fully understand the circumstances of the collision.”

She added: "I would also appeal for anyone who knows the identity of the driver or the location of the car involved in this incident to call us."

Anyone with information can call PC Caldicott on 0300 333 3000, quoting 358S 230712.
