Police investigate break in at Bromsgrove property

POLICE are investigating a break in at a Bromsgrove house earlier today, (September 27).

At around 12.30pm police were called about the break in at a property in New Road.

A man was witnessed running from the scene, being chased by a local resident, but he managed to escape before officers arrived.

Officers searched the area, using the force’s helicopter, but the man was not found.

The man is described as white, in his 20s, wearing a green khaki hat and khaki jacket.

He was carrying a bag.

Police say enquires are at any early stage, but it has been established the property was broken into via a rear door.

It is not yet known if anything was taken from the property.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the man, or witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the New Road and Fairmont Road area at the time of the offence.
