Police investigate attempted burglary in Catshill

BROMSGROVE police are investigating an attempted burglary in Catshill.

The incident happened in Stourbridge Road between 10am-3.30pm yesterday, (October 10).

A half brick was used to smash glass in the front door of the property, causing £200 damage, plus there was rip to the carpet in the hall.

However, it is believed the offenders were scared off by the victim's dog before they were able to gain entry.

Last month West Mercia Police launched Citadel, a new initiative aimed at driving down the number of burglaries committed in the force area.

Crime prevention information is available on the force's website, westmercia.police.uk/Advice, which includes keeping side gates locked where possible, and securely storing garden tools which could be used to force entry.

Anyone with information on the Catshill incident is asked to call PC Mark Lazenby at West Mercia Police on the non-emergency number 101, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
