FEW towns in Britain have remained untouched by modernisation and change since the last war and Droitwich Spa is no exception.
This photo of the town centre, taken it is thought in the early 1950s, shows Victoria Square looking towards Ombersley Street East.
Many of the buildings on the right remain, but the biggest change is on the left where the library occupies the site today.
With no yellow lines to bother about, drivers had the luxury of being able to pull up right outside the shops. Another reminder of the era is the motorbike and sidecar on the left as they were still common.
