THE banns of a young Catshill man and his Bromsgrove bride-to-be were announced on the royal yacht Britannia during the Queen’s north American tour. The couple were Kenneth Wakeman, from Hinton Fields, a radio mechanic on the yacht, and Maureen Cowburn, whose parents lived in King George Close, Sidemoor.
