DETAILS about this week’s Memory Lane picture are scarce as many people in the picture have died.

The photo has been kindly loaned to us by Dorothy Pollard, nee Ingram, aged 85, and shows her mother, Alice, in the back row, fourth from the left.

Dorothy was the last of Alice’s 13 children, all of whom lived in Bromsgrove.

Dorothy, who lives in Windsor Gardens, is unsure when the photo was taken, but guesses it was in the early 20th century, possibly around 1910.

She believes Alice is pictured with other Bromsgrove residents in the town centre. She is certain that life-long friend and neighbour Ivy Clements is pictured, although Dorothy is not sure which of the women Ivy is.
