THE 47th annual Bromsgrove musical club chamber concert was held at the Institute in Bromsgrove. Despite appalling weather, there was a very large, enthusiastic audience of members present which the Messenger said proved the splendid life and vigour of the club.

The work of composers, including Elgar, Mascagni and Bach, was performed to an appreciative audience.

à ARTHUR Stanton, of Sidemoor, appeared at Bromsgrove Petty Sessions charged with leaving a horse and wagon in Finstall Road and not having control of the wagon. PC Hayes said that when he approached the defendant he repeatedly refused to give his first name.

Mr Wiggins, the chairman, told the defendant that he had given the police a good deal of trouble by refusing to give his name and hadbeena very silly man. He was fined 2s 6d and 10s costs.
