Police have launched an investigation after a young woman was found hurt in a street.

The woman, who was in her 20s, was found injured in Howards Way, Harlow, at about 3am.

She was taken to the town's Princess Alexandra Hospital where she later died.

An Essex Police spokesman said officers were treating the death as suspicious.

The street has been closed while forensic investigations are carried out.
