A BIENNIAL celebration of Cradley will feature a special display to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.
Cradley Day will be held on Saturday October 4 at the town’s sports and social club, Colley Lane.
History group Cradley Then and Now, which is 17 years old this year, organises Cradley Day every two years at different venues.
Next month’s event will include displays and stalls from many Cradley organisations and a special display highlighting stories of some of the soldiers commemorated on the war memorial.
Jill Guest, from the group, said: “We also hope to link up with Cradley Library which is opposite the sports and social club so that internet access will be available for any of the visitors with family history queries.
“This has always been a popular event in the past and we hope it will be just as popular this year.”
